A Proverb for the Day (11:8)
May 11th, 2009“The righteous is delivered from trouble, But the wicked takes his place” (Proverbs 11:8 NASU). The righteous do not find themselves in the same situations as the wicked. If the righteous are given opportunities to steal, cheat, lie, or have affairs, they refuse. The wicked, however, upon receiving the same opportunities think they are great ideas and get themselves into trouble. Those who are blameless and upright, living a life of integrity have a better course in life than those who live wickedly (cf. Proverbs 11:3, 5-6).
