A Proverb for the Day 10:13
February 18th, 2009“On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found, But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding” (Proverbs 10:13 NASU). If your words are getting you into trouble, it may be because of a lack of discernment. We often have something we want to say, but we don’t always consider the impact of our words before we say them. This is especially true for those who mouth off to authorities. If we do not consider our words before we speak them we will get into trouble, offend others, and generally make the situation worse. By taking the time to consider our words, however, we can give a wise answer that will help others.
